Exploring the Senses
Our five senses allow us to connect with our world, people and nature. Experience taste, smell, touch, sight and hearing in fun hands on activities. Preschool – Grade 2, 45 minutes – 1 hour.

Grossology
What is Grossology? Why it is the science of all things weird, gross and disgusting! It’s slimy, gooy, stinky, smelly stuff explained to students in a fun way guaranteed to capture their attention. Investigate animal scat and test knowledge of droppings through a lab. Learn about the gases and physiology of farts, other bodily functions, slime and much more! Grade 4 – 8, 1 hour.

Museum Tour
Stroll through the Museum with Museum staff who will highlight the newest and most famous exhibits. Focus on our Mazon Creek Fossils, endangered animal species, or the LaSalle Explorer exhibit. Learn how exhibits are created and maintained. Preschool – Adult, 45 minutes – 1 hour.

Nature Walk
Discover the many aspects of nature – animal homes, plants, insects, trees and animals, including the bison and deer of Lords Park. Walk along the Willow Creek Trail with an educator who will point out the mysteries of the forests as well as contemplate the uses and impact the waterways have on humans throughout the ages. We can tailor the tour to your group's interests. Preschool – Adult, 45 minutes – 1 hour.
